va'ART

Speystraat 2-3

va'ART occupies the former school site in an exceptional location, right by the Damme Canal — without doubt one of the most beautiful landscapes in the country.

The name va'ART refers on the one hand to the Damme Canal (the Damse Vaart) and on the other to 'Via Artis' — 'the road to art'.

For centuries this canal was Damme's economic lifeline, serving as the transhipment port for Bruges.

In this historically charged place, where trade and industry once flourished, we are creating new momentum today. No longer through goods, but through ideas, creativity and encounters.

The va'ART site brings art, culture and people together.
